Lodge, is the resort for those
who love Canadian fishing, hunting or relaxing.
Clearwater
Lodge, accessible only by boat or float plane, is located
at the far north end of Clearwater (Burditt) Lake and next
to Quill Lake, which leads into the fabulous Pipestone chain
of lakes. These sheltered waters harbor many species of
gamefish, which include Musky, Lake Trout, Small and Largemouth
Bass, Walleye, Whitefish, Yellow Perch and the Great Northern
Pike. These lakes are all crystal clear and pollution-free.
The
scenery in our area is absolutely beautiful with its inter-connected
waterways and high, rocky bluffs covered with stately pines
and white birch trees. It'll make you forget about the pressures,
burdens and problems of a fast-moving world. This is the
place to go for fishing, hunting, relaxing or just plain
getting away from it all.
The
cabins you will be staying in are all housekeeping, mostly
of log construction, solidly built and in good condition.
These private cabins are all equipped with electric lighting,
refrigerators, coffee brewers, toasters, microwave ovens,
and gas ranges, plus the necessary items such as cooking
utensils, dinnerware and linens, although we do not furnish
towels. We also have a centrally-located shower house and
fish freezing facilities at our main location. Our resort
is a wilderness camp that we are very proud of.
A
short distance from our main camp is the Clearwater Mechanical
Portage. This portage will carry you and your equipment
into or from the Upper Lakes.
Besides
our main camp, we have three outpost cabins, two of which
is accessible by boat, and the other accessible by boat
and by portaging.
Kishkutena
Lake: The Kishkutena outpost cabin is either fly-in
or portage in and sleeps 7 people. Some of the Best Muskie
fishin anywhere with excellent lake trout and bass fishing
as well here.
Dash
Lake: The Dash lake outpost cabin is either fly-in or
portage in and sleeps 4 people. Lake Trout and Trophy Northern
Pike abound in this lake. This is the only cabin on the
lake and offers the utimate in privacy, seclusion and relaxation.
It's not hard to forget what time or day it is here.
Pipestone
Lake: The Pipestone lake outpost cabin is new, accessible
by boat and sleeps up to 8 people. The cabin is located
at the northwest arm of Pipestone offering excellent fishing
for Walleye, Musky,Northern Pike, Lake Trout ,Small mouth
and Large mouth Bass. Excellent fishing off the 52' floating
dock. This cabin is very secluded and private. Solar powered
lights and propane cook stove give this outpost the modern
amenities that make staying here so enjoyable.
When
entering Canada, you are allowed to bring with you all necessary
food supplies, (within reason) plus 1 carton of cigarettes
and 40 ounces of alcohol per adult duty free. Additional
food supplies may be acquired at Fort Frances, Emo or Sportsman
Landing on Clearwater Lake where we will then take you by
boat to our resort. Licenses and alcoholic beverages may
also be purchased at the landing.
Items
not to be brought into Canada are handguns of any type.
Also on the banned list are plants or any vegetable which
can be transplanted. As well live bait of any sort is banned
as well ( minnows, worms etc.)
Items
which you should bring:
Fishing
tackle, flashlight, camera, raingear, insect repellant,
personal gear, warm clothing in case of cool weather, and,
of course, your food supplies. If you have a fish locator,
it would be a great help when fishing new waters.
