Map of Clearwater Lake:
Clearwater Lake is approximately 10 miles long and 3 miles wide at the most open part of the lake. The lake is 95 feet at its deepest point. Our fishing guests have over 70 miles of waterways to explore and fish, because Clearwater Lake is part of a large chain of lakes, which was carved out of the Ontario wilderness during the last ice age.
The depths of the lake do remain cool because water-flow in-and-out is far from the main part of the lake thus river current is not stirring up the lake and homogenizing its temperature. The water flows in enough to keep the water clean and supply fresh water and food thus the population of game fish is unbelievable. There are massive populations of Walleye, Pike, Muskie and Smallmouth Bass and they can be caught just about anywhere. All the lakes in the chain are stuffed with fish including a couple of lakes that have great Largemouth Bass fishing.
